Entering the world of graphic design can be as simple as going above and beyond for a simple graded project; such was the case for Willow in their Business Rhetoric class. Since then, they have spent seven years designing fliers, book covers, even business logos and clothing prints, all for themselves and those that cannot afford a corporate-tempered designer. They have learned to aptly represent the consistent “voice” of each start-up and non-profit, creating a symphony of understanding and presentation that sings endlessly in their mind. While many of these voices prefer to keep their given songs to a private audience, some allow all to be heard. Such harmony is presented here.

THE BUSINESS OF LIFE
While the original co-founder of Inverted Ankh Studios did not finish pursuing their publishing start-up, the business’ intended logo and initial rights still remain with me.
CARDS OF CULTURE
When thinking of graphic design and cards, most minds go to business cards. However, depicted above are some examples of commissioned cards for renaissance fairs - the back of a set explaining the history of each Nordic Rune, and a few examples out of a requested tarot card deck design.
MEANING IN THREADS
A sweater print design can be an effective book promotional. Researching the “skirted” masculine designs from traditional times from various cultures and applying them to modern fashion concepts can launch a dress designer with artist’s block into a new customer base. Simply put, these designs, commissioned under the umbrella of graphic design, expand the supposed “line” of what that umbrella can be used for and what it can accomplish.
SOUL AND SKIN
Many, but not all, of the tattoo designs that have been made, all crafted to the exact details requested. Each has great meaning to the patron who commissioned it, and each has slight style differences to reflect the personality and intent of the recipient.
Language Design
Not all design has to have a greater purpose. Sometimes, it’s just a t-shirt print; the gift of a wearable inside joke between a class and their advanced grammar professor. Joy in design, creative carelessness and experimentation - these things are essential for mastery.
